Roberto Abraham Vasquez

Roberto was a proud Bowie High School graduate and served his country in the United States Army. He was a Science and Social Studies teacher at Henderson Middle School where he was bestowed the nickname “Sugar Bear”.

Roberto was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Ana Vasquez.

He is survived by his children Laura A. Vasquez and Eric Abraham Vasquez, grandchildren Jeremy Chase Vasquez, Andre Abraham Vasquez and Destiny Rayne Bonner, his sister, Alicia Estrada and her husband, Luis Estrada, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 27th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark Drive followed by burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Campa, Cesar Campa, Joey Paniagua, Chris Estrada, Larry Arellano and Miguel Gutierrez.
