Roberto (Bobby) Rodriguez

`Roberto (Bobby) Rodriguez, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. He was Owner/Operator of the iconic Downtown Mission Garage for over 20 years. He was a life-long resident of El Paso. A graduate of Bowie High School (Class of 1944), he was also an active member of the Bowie High School Golden Bear Club where he held several offices including President. He was a life-long avid reader, Civil War buff and collector of Big-Band Era and Frank Sinatra music. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Jose F. and Eloisa G. Rodriguez, and Sister Yolanda. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bertha M. Rodriguez; Sons Bobby, Jr. and David Rodriguez; Brothers Rafael and Jose Rodriguez; Sisters, Gloria Aguilar, Graciela Sierra, Carolina Garcia, and Rebecca Ramirez; Grandchildren Michelle Pelletier and Joshua Rodriguez; and three Great-Grandchildren.

Baseball season and following the Yankees will not be the same without you, Mr. R.

We all love you and miss you, but know that you are forever re-united with Mom and Dad once again.

Viewing and Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Del Angel (Martin Central) Funeral Home, 3839 Montana. A mass will follow at St. Joseph’s Church, 1315 Travis, at 12:00 Noon. The family is honoring his wish of cremation at a later date.
