Roberto J. Lara Jr. (Chato) passed away May 6, 2024 at the age of 81 peacefully at the Veterans Home. He was born in El Paso and served in the U.S. Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was a beloved husband to Alicia M. Chavez (+), brother, father and grandfather.

A funeral mass will occur Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr, El Paso, TX 79915. A graveside service will occur Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
