Robert Eugene Rook, Jr., born July 28, 1951, in Amarillo, Texas lived a happy, fulfilling life. He passed away November 12, 2024, at the age of 73. He was a resident of El Paso, Texas since 1980. Mr. Rook was an Executive Banker; he worked in the United States Treasury and was an Independent Investor. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years completing two tours in Vietnam. Here in his hometown, he was President of the El Paso Country Club and Trust Chairman. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and skiing very much. He was a kind, charitable person and supported many organizations. Mr. Rook was President of the El Paso Boys & Girls Club, and served on the boards of: United Way, Child Crisis Center and First Tee. He will be dearly missed by the community, his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his Father Robert Eugene Rook, his mother Mary Laveta Rook and brother- in-law Bill Quinn. He is survived by his loving wife Christine Ann Rook, his daughter Dr. Ashley Lauren Clark (Alex) residing in Oklahoma City, his dear son Austin Robert Rook (Emma) residing in San Antonio, and his brother Ronald Edward Rook (Jerri) residing in Arizona. He is also survived by sister-in-law Diane Vranich (Ken) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on November 19, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a prayer service to begin at 12:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912.
Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson, El Paso, TX 79906.
