Ricardo A. Chavez, age 89, passed away on November 11, 2022. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother passed away with his family by his side. He is survived by his daughters: Joann, Yolanda, and Veronica, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and sister, Espy Leroy. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Magdalena E. Chavez, parents, Ana and Benito Chavez, and his brothers, Joe and Hector Chavez. He served in the Army National Guard, was an El Paso Police Officer, worked for Darbyshire Steel Co and Asarco for 30 years from which he retired.
Visitation will be held on Monday November 21, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with the Rosary to begin at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd, where he will be laid to rest.
