Reuben Rolando Chavez, beloved father and grandfather, 80, passed away November 7, 2018 in Fabens, Texas. Reuben was born April 26, 1938 in Socorro, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother Lucia Chavez. Left to cherish his memory are his children Marc Anthony Chavez and wife Monica, grandson Gavin Chavez, his daughter Kathryn Renee Kirk and his ex-spouse Connie Chavez. Reuben was a retired Sergeant from the United States Marine Corp and also retired from Clint ISD. Mr. Chavez previously served two terms as the Mayor of Socorro. He had also served as a Reserve Deputy for the El Paso County Sheriff's Department.
