Born on November 17, 1948, in Parral, Chihuahua, Ramon emigrated to the United States in his early years and built a life in El Paso, TX. During the Vietnam War, Ramon served in the U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. It was here that he met the love of his life, Josephine “Josie” Torres. They were married on August 4, 1969. Upon completing his military service, the two moved back to El Paso, TX where they built a life together and raised their three children, Raymundo, Yvonne, and Martin.
Over the years, Ramon enjoyed working in various aspects of the construction industry, owned several businesses, and was fortunate to work alongside his dear friends and associates, Ernesto and Olga Perez, for 32 years in the automotive industry.
Ramon was a devout Catholic and an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was also a passionate cook who still enjoyed every opportunity to dance with his beautiful wife. He loved his family fiercely and will be missed deeply.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Eustacio and Eva Rodriguez, and his brothers, Jesus Rodriguez and Ricardo Macias.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Raymundo and Monica Rodriguez, Yvonne and T.Jay Wainwright, and Martin and Lindsey Rodriguez. In addition, he is also survived by:
Grandchildren: Lauren Rodriguez, Sofia Rodriguez, Amalisa Rodriguez, Isaiah Hernandez and spouse Alisha Hernandez, and Tobias Jackson Wainwright
Great-grandchildren: Maverick Rodriguez, Derek Hernandez, Aiden Hernandez, and Jordan Hernandez.
Siblings: Teresa Rodriguez and spouse Evaristo Rodriguez, Yolanda Carrizal and spouse Rodolfo Carrizal, Alfredo Rodriguez, and Sandra Rodriguez.
Ramon would have also wanted to make mention of his many surviving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
