Ramon Gonzalez

Loving husband and father, Ramon Gonzalez, went home to our heavenly Father on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the age of 89. After serving in the U.S. Air Force for four years, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty years. 

He is survived by his three daughters, Carolina, Julie (Oscar), and Kathy (Joseph), his grandson, Joshua Lee Krichten, and three grand dogs, Harley, Rocko, and Charlie. He is also survived by his siblings, Irene Torres, David Gonzalez (Betha), and Carmen Gonzalez, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

He is now reunited with the love of his life, his wife of sixty-six years, Dionicia Vasquez Gonzalez, his parents, Abraham and Carolina Gonzalez, his only dog, Country, and two grand dogs, Snuggles and Jacky. 

Although he usually portrayed a gruff exterior, Ramon had a tender heart, was a generous soul, and always tried to help the less fortunate. He will be greatly missed but will forever live in our hearts.

We'd also like to give our sincere gratitude to his caretakers, Pedro Perez (Maribel) and Nora Martinez, who treated him like family and provided excellent care for over a year.

Visitation and services will be on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 9:00 am at Martin Funeral Home, 1460 George Dieter, El Paso, TX 79936. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana, El Paso, TX 79938.
