Ramon Garcia Jr.

Ramon Garcia Jr. (Mon) passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the age of 88. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Barbara Garcia. He was born in El Paso, Texas on October 15, 1931 to Ramon and Mercedes Garcia. He served in the US Army from January 1952 to December 1953 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Ramon Garcia Jr. retired from Rudolph Chevrolet where he worked for over 40 years. He had a passion for listening to music and caring for his family. Mon would always light up the room with his smile, quick wit and humor.

He is survived by his sons Ramon (Cruz) Garcia III, Gilbert (Marisol) Garcia, and Albert (Norma) Garcia; seven grandchildren Adan Garcia, Willy Garcia, Melissa Nicole Aboud, Amanda Garcia, Ramon Garcia IV, Ian Garcia, and Alexis Garcia; five great-grandchildren, Farica Garcia, William Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Jeremy Aboud, and Lyllianni Garcia; and his brothers and sisters Maria Garcia, Felipe Garcia, Alicia Ontiveros, Charlie Garcia, Lina Ochoa, and Beatriz Paz.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ramon & Mercedes Garcia and his sisters Guadalupe Huerta, and Esperanza Garcia.

We would like to give special thanks to Altomar Home Healthcare and their staff, Oscar, Adrian, Angelica, and Rachel. Also, thanks to First Choice Hospice and their nurses, Belinda and Luisa.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 3, 2019 at Hillcrest Funeral Home West

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
