Petra was born on January 18th 1930 and passed away on September 24th 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dioncio and Natalia Alvarez; her husband, Miguel P Enriquez and her granddaughter Natalia Kurth.
Petra is survived by her children and spouses; Norma (Gilbert) Cardenas; Susie (Frank) Herrera; Antonio (Jenny) Enriquez; Yolanda Kurth (Bennie Wingate); Isabel (Ronald) Corella and Miguel (Sylvia) Enriquez.
She is survived by her ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and many friends.
Her pride and joy were spending time with her ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren from Texas, Florida and South Carolina.
Her core belief was to always take care of your family, friends, neighbors and community.
She was honored by the El Paso Independent School District for her volunteer work. She was thought of very highly in the town of Alamogordo for her volunteer work in the soup kitchen lines, the community center and the Catholic Thrift Store.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Hernandez, Frank Herrera JR, Andrew Gonzalez, Claudio Amaral, Kegan Gillespie and Miguel Enriquez III.
We will be celebrating her life on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 4:00PM- 9:00PM, with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn at 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church at 9:00AM on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 4805 Byron St. El Paso, Texas 79930 following at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 10:00AM.
