Pedro L. Navarro, 96, passed away on July 4, 2023. Resident of El Paso for over 60 years. He was born in Coahoma, Texas on July 28, 1926 to Hijinio and Inez Luevano Navarro who preceded him in death as well as his wife Patricia Marie Eiden, sisters: Paula Urista, Refugio Dominguez, Josefina Torres, Elvira Navarro, Nellie Dominguez, Olivia Gamboa; brothers: Severo, Basilio, Baldomero, Hipolito, Johnny, and Daniel Navarro. He is survived by his daughter Annette Marie Kost and husband David, son Robert Francis and his wife Perla Ivonne, grandchildren: Laura Marie Kost, Victoria Ashley and Robert Andrew Navarro and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Parish. He served his country honorably serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII (Asiatic-Pacific Theatre).He was a life member of the VFW of the United States Ysleta Post, El Paso. He was a former member of the Bishop Schuler Council Knights of Columbus, El Paso. He was retired from White Sands Missile Range, NM as a Civil Service purchasing agent for the Department of Defense for over 40 years. Other stints included Marfa Army Air Corps Base and Ft. Bliss, Texas. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina St. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Requiem mass will be at 12 p.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Parish on July 12, 2023 at 2301 Zanzibar. Burial will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Robert F. Navarro, Robert A. Navarro, Jimmy Navarro, Ernie Dominguez, Raul Andrade, and Kevin Andrade. Funeral services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home.
