Pedro Lopez, Jr.

Pedro (Pete) Lopez Jr. was called home by our heavenly Father on October 31, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Sr. and Hermila Lopez, Pete was born in El Paso, Texas on August 21, 1931. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Met the love of his life, Esperanza, and married her on August 12, 1951. Pete was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He later became co-owner of Pete’s Meat Market where his passion and drive was shown through the amazing customer service to others and art of being a great butcher. His greatest meaning for life was family and now leaves behind his beloved wife Esperanza and six children; David (Terry), George (Hilda), Richard (Alice), Robert (Connie), Charles (Belinda) and Carmen. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, Sister Luz Garcia and Brothers Juan and Reymundo Lopez. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Crestview Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 8:45 am Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Stephen Catholic Church 1700 George Dieter. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
