Paul was our first friend that we made here when we moved to El Paso in 2004. We lived in the same apartment unit (he was my upstairs neighbor).  

He was such a great friend and someone whose friendship we truly cherished. He was around to celebrate many events we held. He met a bunch of my family members who attended those events and he made them feel welcomed in El Paso…

We will miss our dear friend…but, heaven needed another Angel and he was chosen. Rest In Paradise dearest Paul.

Sally, Malinda, Gabriel, Monica, and I extend our sincerest condolences to Yolanda and all the Padilla family.  Our hearts go out to all of you and we pray that the Lord will send you peace and comfort during this difficult time.  As far back as I can remember, Paul was friend to many and to even more, a wonderful person and teacher.  He was a fantastic neighbor, classmate, and his friendship I'll never forget.  

I'm so grateful for having had the chance to grow up with Paul. Undeniably, it was a thrill to know him and to do "life" through our youthful years together. Given his spirit and how I knew him to be, I'm confident he was gift and treasure to many and for all this, he'll surely be missed.

In closing, I pray and I'm hopeful that you will take some comfort in knowing Paul was a positive force in the lives of many and the reason we can smile when we see or hear his name. With Love and Peace, Paul Islas Jr.
