Patrick Adam Lara, 56, passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on March 21, 2023 with his wife and family members at his side. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Denise C. Lara, their pups Wally & Otto and his father Henry S. Lara of Las Cruces New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Henry Lara and his mother Stella G. Lara. He leaves behind many loving extended family members from Las Cruces, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas in addition to countless friends and colleagues who witnessed his life, passions, and career.
Patrick was born in Bellflower California and was raised in Las Cruces New Mexico and El Paso Texas. He graduated from J.M. Hanks High School in 1984 and was a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Houston Law Center. Patrick practiced law in Texas and New Mexico throughout his career that spanned over 27 years. Patrick had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, listening to different music genres, cooking and eating various types of foods. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and just enjoyed a good laugh. He touched the hearts of many throughout his life and will forever be missed.
Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12th at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 Resler Dr., El Paso TX 79912 with visitation from 4p.m. - 8 p.m. Mass will be held at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, 1118 N Mesa, El Paso TX 79902 on Thursday, April 13th at 1 p.m., followed by services at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery at 4900 McNutt Road, Santa Teresa NM 88008.
