Otilia, age 90, passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 6, 2021. Otilia was born on November 30, 1931 to JP and Andrea Urban Gutierrez in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. While she was attending Nursing School in Amarillo, TX, she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Frank. They were married in October of 1953 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, NM. They then began their life journey together for 66 years. Otilia was a loving & devoted wife to her husband, Frank, of 66 years, who preceded her death in May 2019. Anthony Hernandez, son-in-law, preceded her death in February 2021. She was a beloved mother of five children: Anna Brewbaker (Art), Jeanmarie Wisniewski-Hernandez, Steve Wisniewski (Kim), Gail Wisniewski, & Jason Wisniewski (Teresa); six grandchildren: Andria Wisniewski, Amanda Warren, Sean Wisniewski, Aimee-Marie Aldous (Taylor), Tre Brewbaker, & Adam Brewbaker (Jessica); three great-grandchildren: Kaiden Wisniewski, Charlotte Rose Aldous, & Dawson Brewbaker. After high school Otilia attended & graduated from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in Amarillo, TX. She earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She began her fulfilling career as an RN working in the hospital environment for over 35 years. She then went on to become a school nurse for the YISD for over 20 years. Otilia enjoyed spending time with her family, friends & her beloved dog, Mickey. She was a woman of strong Catholic faith. In her years of retirement, she really enjoyed painting with oils. Services will be held on April 28, 2022 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, El Paso, TX. Rosary will be at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, at stjude.org, an organization that was very dear to Tillie.
