Oscar Ortega

Oscar Ortega 62, was called home on April 18, 2023. Oscar was born in El Paso, Texas on June 16, 1960. He began working at the age of 16 alongside with his father in road construction. He carried the legacy of being such a hard worker and a leader embraced by his workers.

A loving husband and wonderful dad to his family. He was a son, brother, nephew, and great-friend to many. He will be remembered for his love of life, unique sense of humor, and the love for classic rock.

He will be deeply missed by many and we will forever carry him in our hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Luz Isela (Luly.), children; Jessica (Isaac), Elizabeth, Oscar Jr., and Bobby (Nancy), parents; Carlos C. and Esperanza, brothers; Tommy (Delilah), Ricardo, Vivi, Rene (Lolis) and Ruben (Lidia), sisters; Leticia, Lucia and Irma, grandchildren; Steven, Isabel, Ashley, Victoria ,Isla, Alyssa, Isaiah, Isaac Jr., Bobby Jr. and Eddie, great-grandchildren; Andrew and Genevieve.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N Carolina, El Paso, TX 79915.
