Oscar A. Mora, resident of Anthony, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016, at 76 years of age. He was a soldier, teacher, law enforcement officer, farmer, husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After which, he combined his love of God's Country (what he called New Mexico) with running the family farm.
He is survived by his wife Mary U. Mora; sons Steve Mora and Ken Mora; daughter Valerie; and grandsons Isaiah, Kobe, Connor, Luke, Isaac, and Austin who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brothers Lupe Mora and Jesus Mora, sisters Delia Madrid and Agueda Mora, and all of his nieces and nephews whom he loved and had endearing nicknames for. He was preceded in death by his wonderful mom Piedad Mora, father Tranquilino Mora and brother Jose Mora.
