Oralia (Oralee) Tellez passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016. She was six months shy of 100 years. She was born in El Paso on Aug. 6, 1916 and was the last living child of the union between Pilar Tellez and Isabel Cerecedes. Oralia worked most of her life in the food service industry and in her later years was a senior companion volunteer, where she contributed more than 48,000 volunteer hours to the Frail and Elderly Senior Companion Program. She was preceded in death by her parents her two sisters, Aurora Maldonado and Olegaria Salazar, four brothers, Amelio, Carlos, Pilar Jr. and Celestino Tellez and her son-in-law, Jose Andres Granados. She is survived by her daughter, Corina Granados of El Paso and her son, David Gonzalez and his wife, Alex, of Georgetown. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave. with a graveside service at 9:30 a.m., Friday, March 4 at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer St.
