 Hello, my name is Valerie Carter and I am the great grand-daughter to Francis Deckard. Who was a long time friend and neighbor of Ms. Opal.  I hope this is not taken wrong but for so long, as I lived across the street. I would make it a mission to wave and say hi to her and everytime, she would just look at me and lock her gate and walk inside and lock her screen door. Honestly puts a smile on my face when I think about it. She is missed, not getting to see her in the mornings getting the newspaper when I drop off my daughters at the inlaws. May she rest in peace with everyone before her. Love you.
