Nuri Marina Perez

She is survived by her sons George and Nicolas Perez, and her daughter Nuri Robles. She cared deeply for her daughter-in-law Angelina and son-in-law Andy. Her devotion for her children was only matched by her love for her grandchildren Ian, Antonio, Salome, Christopher, Justis, Julian, Jordan, Jack, Fabian, Sebastian, Marcelo, and Elhiana. She was also blessed with two great-grandchild Cataleya and Jaxson. Like her mother, family meant everything to her, including her siblings Nicolas Sanchez and Nora Y. Torres, their spouses Martha and Ruben, respectively, and several beloved nephews and nieces.

Nuri graduated from Burges High School in 1966. She then went on to earn her Bachelors of Science at the University of Texas at El Paso. After college she married and began her teaching career at Bowie High School. She served several campuses in El Paso ISD before she retired from MacArthur Middle School and ended a career that spanned over 30 years

The celebration of Nuri’s legacy will begin with her viewing from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15th followed by her rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16th at San Antonio de Padua, followed with burial services at Evergreen East.
