Norman Don Love went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of March 11, 2023. He was born on May 15, 1946, in Childress, Texas to Norman and Clydie (Glover) Love. Norman married the love of his life, Leticia Figueroa Love, in El Paso more than 41 years ago and spent most of his 76 years living in Texas. He faithfully served as a Professor of History at El Paso Community College, where he retired in 2018 after working 31 years in higher education. Norman was imaginative, an avid reader, and loved to learn. He was a devoted Christian, father, husband, and grandfather. He remained active in ministry throughout his life by teaching Sunday school and volunteering in various roles including interim pastor at his local church. His commitment to the Lord, humor, generosity, and unwavering integrity will be cherished and remembered by his loved ones. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rodney Love. He is survived by his wife Leticia; children Jason, Norman Jr., and Jennifer; and four grandchildren Samuel, Elizabeth, Judah, and Michaela. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Martin Funeral Home East. The chapel service will be at 930AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Martin Funeral Home East with burial to follow.
