Norberto was born March 7, 1935 to Elena Navarro and Juan Navarro in El Paso, Texas. In 1953 Norberto was a Golden Gloves Champion in the Flyweight Division. He graduated from Austin high school in 1954. He served in the Army and was also a member of VFW Post 812 Davis Seamon Post. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he was a blessing to have in our lives. He will be greatly missed.
Norberto is survived by his spouse, Maria R. Navarro; his daughters Letty Ramirez (David Ramirez) and Esther Arriola (Orlando Arriola); his siblings Edelmira Navarro Holland, Eva Navarro, Maria Elena Villalva, Martha Navarro and Juan Navarro Jr; his grandchildren David Ramirez, Aaron Ramirez, Jennifer Quinn, Naomi Arriola, Tony Arriola, Elijah Arriola, Tiffany Navarro, Jacob Quintero and Savannah Rodriguez.
He also leaves behind 19 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Norberto was preceded in death by his sons Eddie Joe Navarro and Norberto Navarro Jr; his mother Elena Navarro and his father Juan Navarro.
Visitation for Norberto will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 4805 Byron St., El Paso, Texas 79930. Committal service to follow at 11:00 AM at Ft Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue. El Paso, Texas 79906.
