Nancy Lee Pitchford, daughter of Eugene and Fern Schattel, was born in Sweetwater, TX and attended Sweetwater High School and McMurray State College in Abilene. She spent her early years in banking, then moved on to real estate and became an antique dealer.
Nancy was a devoted follower of Christ and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church. Nancy leaves behind her son Christopher Jones, daughters Carmen Gonzalez-Hughes (husband Brad), Pam Peiffer (husband Matt), Trisha Duval (husband Patrick), daughter-in-law Dawn Jones, grandchildren Lauren Peiffer and Tyler (wife Yasmin), Seth, Sierra and Sawyer Jones, cousin Angela Ratliff (husband Scott and son Alexander) and nephew Colonel (retired) David Hampton (wife Rebecca).
We would like to extend a special thank you to her bingo and puzzling friends at Good Samaritan White Acres Retirement Community, and especially to Jane Leibsle and Nanci Walter for loving her dearly.
The memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church on Monday, February 21 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the First Baptist Church of El Paso. Donations can be made through their website, fbcep.com/giving.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MartinFuneralHomeWest.com for the Pitchford family.
