Nancy, there’s not a day that goes by where I’m not thinking about you! You were such a ray of sunshine not only in my and my family’s lives but for every person that you knew!  Everyone and everything was better with you in it.  I miss our “chisme” time and I miss you my dearest friend ❤️🙏 RIP❤️🙏

I just found out about Nancy's passing. Such a friendly, wonderful and compassionate person and she had such a love for the animals. She always took such good care of my pets, especially when one of my beloved pets was very sick. My condolences to her family, she will be missed.

Nancy was my my suite mate at NTSU. Her antics will be what I will always remember.  She crawled into the ceiling and dropped water balloons on me and my roommate. She would put plastic wrap on the toilet seat...and then she she took all the towels out of the bathroom along with my clothes and invited jocks to get a chuckle.  Dick, I'm sorry you lost her. I just saw a message concerning Dr. Harwood passing on Facebook. I am so very sorry that the world has lost her precious soul. She cared for all of my fur babies and for me so well and thoroughly.

I just found out today that Dr. Harwood had passed.  My heart is heavy to know she is not here anymore.  Dr. Harwood helped my brother, Willie, and me when we brought our little cat to her.  We had never had a pet at home so we were lost.  Dr. Harwood was so kind, she helped us so much with Precious.  When my brother passed away and I took Precious for a check up, she hugged me and comfort me because I still couldn't come to terms in loosing my brother.  Her kind words helped me very much.  At that moment Dr. Hardwood not helped me but my Precious.  Dr. Harwood you will be missed.  My condolence to the family, know that she is in a better place. I still cannot grasp the loss of this fine woman and advocate for animals. After being referred to her from another veterinary clinic, I knew immediately that Dr. Harwood would be the person who would make the difference in the lives of my fur babies . . . and she did. We shared laughs and tears over the years as she put up with me being annoyingly over-protective of my basset hounds. But she was there for me--over and over again.  She saw me and my babies through cancer and heart failure, helping me to gently let go and say goodbye. So thank you, Nancy, for the gift you were to all of us and our dear pets. It brings me joy knowing that you're loving on my Jackson, Katie and Clyde, and all of your other buddies. You'll be dearly missed.

Deepest sympathies to all who mourn Nancy. I only recently learned she had passed away through the newsletter from our Dallas high school, Bishop Lynch. During those years I admired her not only for her intelligence but her quick wit, and I’m sure she is greatly missed. I remember a time when Nancy was running for a school office at BL. When it was her turn to speak she asked everyone to do something, I believe it was just to stand up, which of course we all did. She was then able to jokingly use that as evidence of her leadership ability and I’m pretty sure she won that election!

One of the kindest human beings. She had a love for animals and people alike. She was more than our vet, she was a friend. 

My sincere and deepest condolences to all of Dr. Harwood's loved ones. Dr. Harwood was a very gracious, compassionate and caring person and a magnificent vet, she  literally saved the life of my pup twice and allowed me the room to make payments to cover the bills. I will always be greatful to her for these acts of kindness and caring, as far as I am concerned there are no other vets like her in El Paso. I, like many of those who knew Dr. Harwood from her practice, was saddened when she retired although understood why; although this news is absolutely heartbreaking. I admired immensely Dr. Harwood and am deeply saddened by her passing. Rest in Peace Dr. Harwood.

Nancy and I went to Bishop Lynch High School together.   She was an incredibly awesome person; I will never forget her.   She was so smart and funny.  She was kind to everyone!! And a terrific basketball player😊.    I am so incredibly sad to hear about your loss and offer my condolences to Nancy's spouse and all her family and friends.

Nancy was my suite mate at NTSU.  Times were innocent then .She was such a prankster,  which I think she got that from her brothers.  How would you like to be bombed in bed with water balloons? I started college at 17 and we would go to The Mug and Picture where her brother worked.  4 months later I turned 18 and we had a grand celebration   . Dick was horrified.  I knew Nancy had a passion for animals early on  .Rest in Peace  .

I’m so sorry to hear about Nancy. We had such great times at NTSU where we shared a bathroom for two years in the dorm. She was a founding and the most successful member of the Piranha Club, as she could pretty much eat anything and never gain a pound. 
There were all the practical jokes we played on each other, the Phi Zappa Krappa intramural team we played on, free drinks from her brother at the Mug and Pitcher (not to mention the much regretted Wild Ass Indians from Doc Holiday’s), the semi-successful ski trip to Colorado one spring break, plus many other adventures. 
She was a lovely person. May she rest in peace.

Dr. Harwood was more than a Veterinary doctor to us.  She sincerely cared for all 4 of the pets we took to her throughout the time we knew her.  She had an amazing way of caring for then while at the same time assuring us of the care she gave them.  I wish all health care providers were like Dr. Harwood.  She was in a class all by herself. I am heartbroken at the loss of our beloved dear Doctor Nancy, as my family affectionately called her. Seldom have I met a person with such a pure heart; someone with such compassion! My mother started seeking the help of Dr Nancy right after she began at the clinic. Myself and my sister soon followed and through the years, through all the doggies Nancy cared for, and all the eventual losses of our fur babies, Nancy was an angel who always displayed compassion, empathy and love. So many memories. My heart aches for her wife, her family, everyone at the clinic, and all the fur-families who've had the honor to know her; May God guide you with strength, comfort, and peace. My heart is very heavy because I lost a special friend & veterinarian to my four legged fur kiddos. When Dr. Harwood learned that I was a Dog Behaviorist she trusted me enough to be of service to people whose dogs had behavior issues. I respected her kindness & directness. She made it all so possible for me to have so many pets to enjoy, love & respectfully let them go when their time was up. I could never say enough about my dear friend Dr. Harwood. We are heartbroken over the untimely loss of Nancy.  She was a very sweet, kind, generous  and compassionate person as well as being a wonderful veterinarian.  Our condolences to her wife, family, friends and office staff.  She will be missed and we will never forget her.

My deepest sympathy to all of Dr. Harwood's family and friends. We only met a few years ago after our longtime family veterinarian moved, and I had the good fortune to find her clinic. She took such wonderful care of our babies, Deidre and Max. During the pandemic we did the usual elbow greeting, but our last visit before she retired, she gave me that wonderful hug so many others have described. My husband never got to meet her, but we so appreciated her care. We are heartbroken but blessed to have had her in our lives.

We are so very saddened of the loss of Dr. Nancy Harwood. She was a wonderful vet and great friend. She was always so loving with all our many fur babies and truly cared about them and us. I met Nancy just out of vet school when she started working for Dr. Jones.  She was always to kind and cared about everyone and everything.   She took time for my granddaughter when she became a vet tech there and that says a lot.

It is impossible for me to think of a time when Nancy wasn't in my life. As my godmother, Nancy greeted me into this world with open arms and an open heart. Happiness followed her where ever she went. With Nancy there was never a wasted season, never a slow year. She modeled a joyful life that facilitated my own life path development. Watching her gave me the permission to follow my heart and create a life that is allowed to be unique and colorful. Because of her strength, I will always be mighty; because of her kindness, I will always be gracious; and through her guidance, it is impossible to be lost.

Nancy,  as I sit here so broken hearted trying to write this, I think back of the day you walked through the door at Jones Veterinary Clinic asking if Dr. Jones was hiring.  I thought you were the sweetest person.  I  ran to his office to tell him he had to meet you!!!  I was so happy that Dr. Jones hired you as we became not only best of friends, but you became my Comadre and my sister as well!!  You always thought of everyone first before yourself.  You worked tirelessly for all your 4 legged patients for the last 37 years.  The love you had for my mother, father, husband and my two sons was immense and I love you for that.  I miss you terribly and always will.  Until we meet again, I will keep my memories of you close to my heart ❤️ I love you  tons! 

Dear Dr Harwood, You will truly be missed. Mike and I were truly blessed to have known you. More so, in helping and always caring for our fur babies. You always kept it real and treated us like family. Ill always remember when we lost one of our babies, you gave us a huge hug cause we couldn't stop crying and you told us everything was gonna be okay.   May 10th, GOD must have answered our prayers because we wished to see you one more time to see our sick baby boy and there you were,  you helped us with our Big Boy Kash. You tried everything to help him and helped us decide our next steps. And we will always be grateful for the advice you gave us and the care you gave in treating Kash. But Kash decided he wanted to follow you. Say Hi to him for us and please take care of him and all the other babies that were able to be touched by you. You will truly be missed. Our condolences to your wife and family. May GOD help them find comfort during this most difficult time. RIP Dr Harwood. 

Nancy Harwood left us with more than a memory, she left us with an entire legacy. To those who had the pleasure of meeting her, she was a beacon of strength and kindness, and to those who called her family, she was a pillar of love.  Her compassion for her friends and her family is a testament to this; and her compassion for her clients went beyond the client-patient professional standing. Nancy would never hesitate to go above and beyond for those she cared for and, in part, that's why the emptiness she's left us with feels so vast. Her love and kindness was so strong and the hurt and sadness are a testament to that. We, as her loved ones, will carry on her kind disposition, her willingness to help, and her overall fiercely loyal persona. Nancy was more than a mentor and will always be more than a memory. We love you Nancy, and always will.

Dearest Aunt Nancy,
I will always remember how you loved. Loved our children as if they were your own, loved Gail with all your heart, loved animals unconditionally, and loved life fiercely. The night after you passed, there was a lunar eclipse. Ryan and I pulled out our telescope so we could get a closer look. We remembered suddenly that the telescope was a surprise that you sent to our door. We will miss you everyday for the rest of our lives. 

Dr. Harwood, what can I say? You gave me so much more than a job when you hired me almost 21 years ago. You cared so much for me, my kids, and my pets. You were the best veterinarian I have ever known or worked with. You were also compassionate, generous to a fault, funny, intelligent,  kind, and caring. I will miss you terribly and will never forget all that you did for me. My heart is broken.  See you on the other side of the rainbow!

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Nancy Harwood. She was instrumental in vetinary care of several pets of our family. She always worked with the greatest compassion and kindness in every situation we experienced. A precious soul whom will be sorely missed by many people, as well as animals.

Hello. Firstly let me express my Deepest Sympathy for your loss of Dr Harwood. We first met almost exactly 12 years ago when my beloved Chocolate Labrador needed help. Dr Harwood checked my dog over and said that she unfortunately  couldn't help me as she was leaving for vacation the next day , and as he needed surgery, all she could do was point me in the direction of a colleague who could help ( she didn't know me at all, but that day was the first of many hugs she gave me , such warmth and genuine compassion for myself and my fur baby ) she never charged me for her time , i was so appreciative  . We got the help we needed for my Lab but I moved all my vet care to Dr Harwoods prectice there after. She has looked after all ( now) 3 of my dogs and my daughter's dog too. We really loved seeing her, she called me by my first name , oh how I will miss that - it's the small things that mean the most. Last week I had, again to take another fur baby for a vist to the Vet and there was Dr Harwood - it had  been almost a year since I had last seen her,  while we chatted for a few I received not 1 but 2 of the biggest, sincerest hugs - I shall hold onto that memory for the rest of my life ,  I will miss you so much Dr Harwood - RIP.  I know that there are thousands of animals waiting at Heaven's gate to Thankyou for every special thing you did for them and their pawrents. Much Love , Allison Clark, Brandi,Lilly,Abby and Family.

Dr Harwood took such great care of our pets throughout the years. I adopted a little dachshund in 2009 who had severe heart worms. Abby and I saw a lot of Dr Harwood and her staff over the 6 years that she was with me and Dr H loved her as if she were her own. She was by my side when I said goodbye to Abby and she cried with me. Thank you, Nancy for loving Abby so much and I know she was there at the Rainbow Bridge, with all of the other pets that you so lovingly cared for. I can only imagine how many how many were there to greet you. I am heart broken as I know so many here on earth are. 

Dr. Harwood was the most compassionate and caring vet I have ever encountered. She truly cared deeply for her patients and their families. She saved my Sharpie when other vets would have likely not put forth the effort. I can see her right there on the Rainbow Bridge still caring for her babies!!
