Nancy Jean Haner- 83, of El Paso TX, passed peacefully in her sleep of natural causes, August 16th, 2021. Nancy was born in Elmira, NY on December 14th 1937. She married the love of her life, Arden Francis Haner, on January 12th, 1957, who she would go on to share 24 years of marriage and six beautiful daughters.
Nancy was a strong matriarch to her large family and possessed a clever wit about her with a sense of humor that attracted everyone she talked to. Nancy loved to garden, which was home to her beloved turtle community. She loved her dogs and found serenity while fishing as a hobby. She thoroughly enjoyed taking her chances at the Casinos, and quickly became an adopted Texan with her passion for country music and dancing. Nancy was also on a women’s bowling league for years which prided themselves on local league domination. She was fiercely loyal to a circle of lifelong friends and was always at her happiest surrounded by her large family.
Nancy is proceeded in death by her parents, Lewis Landon and Mary Mc Clure, loving husband, Arden Francis, infant daughter Deborah Anne, eldest grandson, Michael Paul Arnn, sister, Marylou and brother, Bobby.
Nancy is survived by her five daughters, Belinda Haner Valdes (Michael), Patricia Haner Murphy, Diane Haner, Cindy Haner Carroll, and Dawn Saucedo (Armand). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Melissa Scott (David), Cody Shannon (Jaimi), Brittany Laser (David), Shawn Thompson (Nicole), Kayla Murphy Reed (Curtis), Chad Murphy, Catherin Carroll, Jacob Carroll, Shaelyn James, Zachary Carroll, Landon Carroll, Derek Saucedo, Devin Saucedo, Danielle Saucedo. And 15 great-grandchildren, Mason, Logan, and Brady Scott, Myles and Sunnie McCormick, Wyatt and Wade Shannon, Penelope and Porter Laser, Carter Reed, Shelby Arnn, Cade, Declan, and Kira Thompson, and Stella Loreno.
Services will be held Wednesday August 25th, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery East. 12400 East Montana, El Paso, TX 79938. Viewing 10:00am, eulogy and story sharing at 12:30pm, and graveside services at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the cancer society of your choice.
