In loving memory of our Michael Salcido, 39. Michael passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019 surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Ramon Salcido Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, (Marki) Marsha Salcido and their 6 children: Quest, Zak, Sutton, Serena, Sophia & Michael Jr. Michael is also survived by his mother, Juana, and his six siblings: Josie (Henry), Maria (Eric), Ramon Jr (Joyce), Christy, Sonia (Luis) & Debra. Additionally, Michael was a great uncle to twelve nephews and eight nieces.
Michael was a life long resident of El Paso, TX. He had relocated to Houston in 2010 and became an organ donor due to the heart disease his two older boys (Quest and Zak) were affected by. It’s because of this that Michael has gone to donate and give life to others.
Michael loved the Dallas Cowboys. His hobbies included golfing, watching football, and hanging out with family and friends.
Michael was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers include Ramon Salcido Jr., Ramon Salcido III, Christopher Lopez, Nathan Vasquez, Zak Mortensen, Rayven Lopez, Eric Castaneda, and Danny Adame. Honorable pallbearers are Serena Salcido, Sophia Salcido, Quest Mortensen, Sutton Mortensen, Michael Salcido Jr, Leyla Alvarez, Carissa Vasquez, Emma Salcido, Jonathan Vasquez, Eric Angeles, and Henry Vasquez III.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, with a vigil/rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette Street.
