Mike came into this world to parents Paul and Ann Norris in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 9th, 1942. As a child, Mike was a gifted artist and craftsman who excelled in the arts and loved football. After high school, he attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in the Fine Arts. Shortly after College, Mike was commissioned into the Army where he served valiantly in the United States Infantry during the Vietnam War, eventually rising to the rank of Major and serving on the Staff of the Joint Chiefs.
In the early 1970’s, Mike was assigned to the Army ROTC Program at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. It was here that he would meet the love of his life Susan Kimbro. Mike and Susan married on May 24th, 1975 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and together they raised a family of six beautiful children.
Mike is preceded in death by his parent Paul and Ann Norris, and his son Paul Robert Norris. He is survived by his brother Paul Reed Norris and his beloved wife Susan K Norris; as well as his children and their spouses, Mari Ann and Aaron Cammon, Matthew and Kris Norris, Michael Andrew Norris, Hannah and Todd Mastriani, Sarah and Stephen Armendariz, and his seven beautiful grandchildren.
