Melba Seferina Chairez was a beautiful, generous, loving, outgoing Mother, Friend, Coworker, Spirit and person. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and ever since the day she was born she was a fighter. Melba always did everything she could to survive. She lived a hard life but she never let that stop her because she knew she was capable of taking on the world. She sacrificed so much in her life to be able to support her children and give them a life she always wanted. She never asked for anything and was always willing to help those that needed her even when she didn’t have much. She had the biggest heart, made of gold, and was always so full of life. She wasn’t afraid to be herself and every time she walked in a room, it lit so bright everyone was so excited to see her. Serina (what she preferred being called) loved to visit her family in Juarez, go out on the town with friends and have movie nights and cookouts with her 3 kids and 5 dogs. She loved to play her music loud while she got ready, she loved her tarot cards and spiritual stones, and she loved selling brisket plates and pozole. Kinney (another nickname of hers) was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. She had such a huge impact on many lives; people she knew and people she didn’t. Now she is dancing in the stars and watching over everyone she loved.
Melba’s funeral services will take place July 19, 2021 at Crestview Funeral Home from 10am-1pm. All friends and family near and far are welcome to come and celebrate her life.
