Mary P. Liggett

Mary Polk Liggett, age 95, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Thursday, 04/10/2025. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert James Liggett and her parents, Raymond O. Polk and Mary Searcy Polk of Hatch NM. Like her mother, she was a teacher for 38 years, teaching in Las Cruces, Anthony ISD, and Socorro ISD. She is survived by 4 daughters: Kathy L. Ellis, Janet L. Galan, husband Kerry, Barbara L. Hartshorn, husband William (Billy) and Lou Liggett, 5 granddaughters: Sarah Ellis, Jennifer E. Sanchez, husband Ray, Shawna Whitlock, Marisa G. Magden, husband Travis and Natalie G. McGrand, husband Nathan.

She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Kora, Saige and Capri Magden, Finneas McNulty and Malaki Sanchez.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any animal shelter or Humane Society in her honor.
