Marvin Dale Moritz Jr.

Marvin Dale Moritz, Jr., passed away on July 13, 2015 at the age of 83. He was born April 2, 1932 in Oakley, Kansas to Marvin Mortiz Sr. and Ruby E. Duffey. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1949 thru December 1979. He was stationed in Korea during the Korean War from 1952 thru 1954 and completed 2 more tours in Korea and 3 in Germany. Marvin was a CW0-4 in Air Defense Artillery when he retired. After retirement, he worked in Civil Service at the Fort Bliss ADA School for 14 years. He married Madeleine Ramsey on March 10, 1955 in Atwood, Kansas. They had 3 daughters: Terry Galloway, Fremont, NE; Roxanne Teeter (Marvin), Riverview FL; and Denise Berg (Harold), El Paso, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson. He is survived by his wife of 60 years and his 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
