El Paso, Texas
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Martha Alicia Arambula, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Martha passed away on Sunday March 16, 2025, at the age of 70.
Martha was born, raised, and lived in El Paso, Texas. She attended Zavala Elementary, Guillen Middle School, and was a proud 1974 graduate of Jefferson High School. She chose a career as a bookkeeper, a job she loved and excelled at. Martha was an honest and hard worker who saw it as her mission to make sure the books were always right.
If you were lucky enough to know her, Martha was a proud, loyal, present and kind woman. She was an avid reader of romance novels. She had an immense dedication and pride in her grandchildren – believed in their potential and encouraged them endlessly. Martha was an adored member of a close-knit loving family although she was also a private person. But the one quality that immediately shone through was Martha’s kindness. She was selfless to a fault and was never heard speaking ill about anyone, even people who deserved it. She always had a kind word for everyone when it was needed most. Martha was also a one-person welcoming committee who made it her mission to make everyone around her feel like they’re part of the family.
Martha was also a peacemaker. She mediated disputes, arguments, and feuds. She was always available to bring people together and all she ever asked for and wanted was for everyone to remember that disagreements were temporary, but love endures. Martha’s family asks that you honor her memory by reaching out and forgiving, or by making peace with, a loved one or a friend with whom you’ve had a falling out. She always wanted to bring more love into the world and now that she can only be with us in spirit, we can all carry on her legacy in a way that honors her memory.
Martha leaves behind so many family members who loved her: her mother Francisca Arambula; her brothers and sisters: Rose, Mando, Sergio, Eddie, and Manny; her daughters: Rosie and Susie; her grandchildren: Mark, Serena, and Brianna. Martha was welcomed into the Lord’s embrace by her father Felipe and her brother Felipe Jr.
