Marsha Lynn Rivas, age 64, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 in El Paso, TX. Marsha was born on November 2, 1958 in Collinsville, OK to Harold & Betty “Coleene” Clark, and was the youngest of 4 children.
Marsha graduated from Collinsville High School in 1976. She was active in softball and basketball. She was part of the state championship softball team in Oklahoma. She was also an avid fan of UTEP Miners Basketball and Oklahoma Sooners Football. Marsha retired from El Paso Independent School District as the principal’s secretary after 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing Mexican train, Bible study fellowship and working elections for the City of El Paso.
Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Coleene. She is survived by her husband, Bill Rivas, son Clint Carson, step-daughters Shawna (Rob) Lane and Phaedra Harrison, sisters Connie (Jack) Plumlee and Brenda (Bob) McDoulett, brother Ted (Sherry) Clark, grandkids Emily, Chloe, Cullen, Lexi and Kelsi, great-grand kids Charlee and Calvin, several nephews and nieces, cousins and numerous friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave., from 4-7pm with service at 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of El Paso on Marsha’s behalf.
