Mark was loved dearly by his wife of 29 years, Monica, 49, and took great pride in his two sons Nick and Jacob, 25 and 21. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Lucero Anderson, and his two sisters, Christine Althoff and Amanda Anderson. He is predeceased by his father, Alfred Anderson, and brother, Michael Anderson. In addition, Mark leaves behind many loving nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Mark worked for many years in grocery management, starting off at the Big 8 on Crossroads 37 years ago carrying out groceries, and working his way up through several companies, including Sam’s, Fleming, Albertsons and Grocers Supply, to positions of Store Director and Regional Account Manager. In his spare time, Mark loved golf, joy-riding, spending time and traveling with his wife and kids, and watching the Cowboys and the Longhorns. Mark was known to be a social butterfly and a happy-go-lucky guy whose positive attitude, jokester personality and upbeat spirit endeared him to many.
The Andersons will be receiving friends and family for a celebration of Mark’s life on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home. The service will include a rosary as well as words and music of tribute by Mark’s family. The next morning Friday, December 23rd, 2016, a mass will be held in honor of Mark at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.
