Marilyn Kae Bowman

Marilyn "Kae" Bowman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and hero to many, joined our heavenly Father Thursday December 22, 2011. Kae was born February 13, 1945 in New Virginia, IA. She married Charles Bowman Jr. in 1964 and moved to El Paso years later to raise a family. Kae is survived by her husband of 47 years Charles, her daughter Kristin Salome, her two beautiful grandsons Kaeden Kraft Bowman and Travis Salome, and her brother Ronald Staley. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy & Wilma Staley, her son Charles "Charlie" Bowman III, and her brother Richard Staley. Kae and her son Charlie were both diagnosed with cancer within months of each other in 2003. Kae’s cancer went into remission until April of 2007. When she was re-diagnosed in 2007, the doctors predicted she would only live another 7 to 8 months. Thanks to her tremendous bravery, amazing strength, and passion to live, Kae survived 4 years longer than they had predicted. Kae’s family would like thank Patty & Dave Branch and the rest of Kae’s work family for all of their love, support and compassion over the past several years. We’d also like to thank Pastor Francisco & his wife Martha Escalera, Kay Thurman “Tacaya”, and the Bayona family for all of their prayers and good wishes. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday December 26, 2011 at Anthony United Methodist Church (101 Franklin St. Anthony, TX 79821).
