Maria Mayorga Velasquez

Maria Mayorga Velasquez, 87, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Maria worked for St. Joseph Catholic Church for 27 years. Her strong faith remained a passion for her entire life. She truly loved God and always credited Him with helping her overcome many challenges. Her three daughters were the light of her life and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her later years. She is survived by Linda Webb (Larry), Norma Jean Moore (Gary), and Virginia Borgman (Dwight); eight grandchildren: Gena Rush (David), Claudia Hartland (David), Jason Webb (Carol), Preston Webb, Clayton Webb, Gabriela Moore (Omar), Adrian Torres, Aaron Torres, and 10 great-grandchildren. We give God thanks for this Mother of abiding faith who profoundly impacted so many lives. We especially remember the blessings she prayed on her family and friends each time they visited. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nazareth Living Care Center, 4616 Trowbridge, El Paso, Texas, 79903. Please join us for services on Wednesday, February 3 , 2016, Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
