Maria was born in Victoria de Durango, Durango, Mexico to Antonia Ferman and Jesus Mendoza on September 14, 1931. She had a passion for life, love, and approached every experience with enthusiasm. Maria brought people together through dance, food, and her spiritual beliefs providing a sense of community by sharing similar interests. Family gatherings were memorable, she made every encounter with family special. Always, eager to help, she provided direction and made her presence known. A truly unique human being who made a lasting impression to many. Honored to have had such a courageous, humble and loving woman share her life with us. Maria Rodriguez will be remembered well, and we are forever grateful. You may be gone from our sight but are never gone from our heart.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband Ignacio (Nacho) Rodriguez, and son-in-law Angel Baquera.
Maria is survived by daughter, Maria Lourdes Baquera, four grandchildren: Cesar Del Rio, Susana, Patricia and Gabriel, five great grandchildren: Jose Abel, Cesar Angel, Gabriella, Marley, and Gianna, all who adored her dearly.
The family of Maria M. Rodriguez wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff and faculty of The Hospitals of Providence Sierra and Elara Care for their kindness, compassion and dedication during her short visit in the hospital and hospice care.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 PM Thursday, May 26, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903, with Rosary at 6:30 PM.
