Maria Elizabeth Natividad

Maria Elizabeth Halcon Natividad, age 52, passed away in El Paso, Texas on Friday, January 28, 2022. She leaves behind her daughter, Vanessa Marie, and boyfriend, Gordon Walker. Maia precedes her parents in death, Carlos & Josephine Halcon. She is survived by siblings Terri Cortez, Carlos Halcon, Alicia Martinez, and James Halcon. She was the aunt of Michael & Isabella Cortez, Amanda & Andrew Halcon, Layla, Samantha, & Sara Martinez, Breann May & Jaqueline Halcon, Manuel Robles, Danny & David Casillas, Monica & Veronica Granados, and Great Aunt of Adrianna Cortez, Zyaire & Quintavious May, and Baby Casillas. Maria is also survived by aunts, uncles, many cousins, brother & sister in laws, and loving friends.

Maria was born in the summer of 1969 in Los Angeles, California. She lived and grew up in Highland Park, California, and attended St. Ignatius Elementary, Luther Burbank Junior High, and Benjamin Franklin High School. Her first job in high school was at McDonald’s in South Pasadena. It was at McDonald’s that she met and later married Ricardo (Rick) Natividad and made several lasting friendships to this day.

Rick and Maria gave birth to their one and only child, Vanessa, on July 21, 1989. They married on November 6, 1993, and she became the daughter-in-law of Rosario & Jesus and the sister-in-law to Sonia Garcia, Elizabeth Meza, and Jennifer Mota, whom she loved very much. Rick and Maria parted ways later in life and were friends in the end.

In 2018 Maria met and fell in love with Gordon Walker. Gordon and Maria moved to El Paso, Texas on February 14, 2019 where they lived a peaceful life.

Maria is gone from this earth but will never be forgotten. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Due to Covid-19 and out of an abundance of caution, the visitation and burial services will be private to immediate family and close friends in El Paso, Texas on Monday, February 14. The live stream will be available. A memorial and tribute will be in Los Angeles, California and everyone is welcome. Finalized information will be out soon.
