Maria Elena Mendez was born March 27, 1950 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to David Soto and Ernestina Perea. She entered into rest on Monday, August 28, 2023 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 73.

Maria is survived by her son Rene Mendez; daughter Cecilia G. McNeal; 1 grandson; 2 granddaughters; 1 brother and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Alberto O. Segura.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 5:30pm to 9pm, with a Funeral Service at 7pm, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, TX 79903. Graveside will be Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 11am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, TX 79906.
