Maria Do Carmo Karisch

She lived a full life with so many different experiences and moves during her 82 years of life. She was born on August 22, 1940 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil where she met and married her husband Werner J.R. Karisch and had two children Silvio and Rudy.

She moved frequently as a result of her husband's mining career and spent time living in Canada, and Peru before moving to the United States and settling in El Paso, Texas.

Maria’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life but she also made an impact on so many people she met and worked with during her life.

She is survived by her son’s: Silvio Karisch (Tucson, AZ), Rudy Karisch (Boerne, TX); Grandchildren: Andre Karisch (El Paso, TX), Jeremy Karisch (San Diego, CA), Stephanie Velasco (Del Rio, TX), Emily Wroblewski (Buckeye, AZ), Kathleen Karisch (Spokane, WA) and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held to honor her in El Paso, TX on January 5th, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home East located at 1060 N. Carolina Drive.
