Maria Luisa Herrera

It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Maria Luisa Herrera, she was better known as “Lulu”, 56, on Wednesday, Jul. 22, 2015, in El Paso, TX. Lulu was born on Sep. 1, 1958, in El Paso, TX. She graduated from Riverside High School and worked for the El Paso Water Utilities. Our mother loved to dance and be the light of the party. She was a young spirit and all who knew her loved her smile and energy. Anybody who knew her knew that her children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments and joy. She was always willing to put others’ needs before her own. She is survived by her children, Zimayda Duran and her children Engolic and Emilio, Dolores Ramos and husband Juan Ramos and children Yasmine, Anneliese, Maya, and Johnny, and Oscar Duran and wife Marie Duran and children Mariah, Janelle, Hassan, Bella, Sofia, her brothers Pablo and wife Bea Herrera, and David and wife Chayo Herrera, her nephews, and the rest of her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Maria Luisa Herrera, and her brother Jesus Herrera. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Scripture Service at 7:00 pm.
