Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening surrounded by her children and comforted by her deep Catholic faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio, she will be profoundly missed by her four children: Jessie (Bertha) Gonzalez, Mary Soto, Brother Nick Gonzalez, Lourdes (Rafael) Ramos and nine grandchildren plus five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monastery of Perpetual Adoration at 145 N. Cotton Street. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. Patrick Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
