Maria is survived by her son Robert Gomez (Mary Ann); her daughter Herlinda Gomez; and her daughter Irene Amato (Sergio).
Maria was preceded in death by her husband Ramon Gomez.
She is also preceded in death by 1 grandchild. She is survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A rosary will occur Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 6:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 9:30 AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 5649 Dailey St, El Paso, Texas 79905. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, Fort Bliss, Texas 79906.
Serving as pallbearers are Ramon Madero Jr., Samuel A. Bustamante, Luis Renteria, Michael Gomez, Aaron Dena and Brian Avalos.
