Socorro was born in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico on November 25, 1948 to Antonio F. Flores and Lidia Del Hierro Flores. The family moved to El Paso in 1960. Socorro attended Ysleta High School and graduated in 1967. She worked for Kemp, Smith, Duncan & Hammond Law Firm for almost 25 years, before retiring.
Socorro was preceded in death by her parents Antonio F. Flores and Lidia Del Hierro Flores, her sister, Leticia Flores & her brother, Gerardo “Jerry” Flores.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura, son in law, Danny & her granddaughter Angelika “Anka” De Avila. She is also survived by her brothers, Antonio (Yolanda), Javier (Alice), sister-in-law, Sylvia Flores (†Jerry) and nieces and nephews.
She is remembered by all as a beautiful person. She was a very loving and caring lady who loved to help anyone in need. Of course, we cannot forget her great sense of humor. Socorro was greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends, especially by her daughter, Laura and granddaughter, Ankababy, who were her pride and joy.
Visitation for Socorro will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the rosary at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester Rd, El Paso, TX 79907 followed by interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
