Maria De Jesus Ernewayn

Maria De Jesus Ernewayn, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in El Paso, TX surrounded by her family. Mrs. Ernewayn was a longtime resident of El Paso and a member of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She raised 9 children and was an avid gardener who took great pride in cultivating her plants and tending to her garden for pleasure.

Mrs. Ernewayn is preceded in death by her husband, Eduardo Ernewayn Sr. and her sons, Hugo Alberto (Armida), Mario Enrique (Esther) Ernewayn and great granddaughter Madison Fernandez. Mrs. Ernewayn is survived by her brother Alfonso Orozco, children, Eduardo Jr. (Minerva), Maria Guadalupe (Cruz+), Bernie (John), Victor (Maria), Angie (Eddie), Maribel (Larry), Mark (Becky). Mrs. Ernewayn also had 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Ave, El Paso, TX 79915 followed by burial from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.

The Ernewayn Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dolores Gomez, Dr. Xavier Muñoz, and the staff at TLC Hospice for the relentless care and outstanding service they provided Mrs. Ernewayn in her time of need.
