Margaret W. Rogers passed away peacefully December 4, 2022 at the age of 82, in her native city of El Paso, Texas. She is predeceased by parents, Harold and Sylvia Witz, husband Robert Summerford, daughter Susan Summerford and sister Carol Robertson. She is survived by her husband of 29 years David Rogers, her son Scott Summerford and wife Diana; daughter- in- law Dayna Curlin and husband Tom; son- in- law Donald Rogers and wife Elizabeth and her niece Janis Paul and husband Paul Maxwell. Grandchildren; Graham and Lydia Summerford, Jessica Ogden and husband Evan, Emily Curlin, Travis Curlin and wife Abby, Daniel Rogers and wife Ellie, James Rogers, David Rogers and wife Kayla and Catherine Rogers. Great grandchildren: Sawyer, Walker, Benjamin and Maddie Grace.
She also had beloved family members Merry Anne and Richard Summerford; Lucille and Henry Summerford; Kent and Martha Summerford; Jo Ellen and Chuck Feind.
Margaret grew up in El Paso Texas and graduated from Austin High School and the University of Arizona with a BA in Education. She was a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and participated in local functions for many years. She was a longtime active member of Western Hills United Methodist Church and never missed an opportunity to help a friend in need. Margaret’s life was an example of selflessness, strength, humility and love for her family and friends. She was a wonderful role model for living The Golden Rule.
Margaret loved being with her grandchildren and always looked forward to the next family vacation and holiday together. She was an avid bird watcher and had many “pet” turtles that would greet her at the door every morning begging for food.

A private burial will be held at Memory Gardens of the Valley on a later date.
