Maggie was born Nov. 10, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, Najib and Julia Haddad and her nephew M. Joey Haddad.
She is survived by her husband Elvin, her son Shawn and daughter Karen, her brothers Maynard (wife Anita), Johnny and Kenneth. Further survived by her sisters, Della and Judy, nieces Julianne and Laura Lynn and nephews Danny and Chris. She is also survived by her friend, companion and caretaker Isis Diaz Rodriguez.
Upon graduation from E.P.H.S., Maggie began working at St. Clements Church as “Parish Secretary”. Her boss, Rev. Robert Gibson took on the task of hosting a convention of Episcopal churches in the Cathedral in Houston, Texas. He recruited Maggie to go with him. She did from 1968 through 1970.
Returning to El Paso, her career at Ft. Bliss began. She retired from civil service, with many honors in 2003 after 33 years.
At her request, she will be cremated with services to be held at St. Clements Church on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
