Manuel Ramirez, Jr., 57, died Friday, August 12, 2022, at Hospice of El Paso Compassionate Care Center-West.
Manny was born May 16, 1965, in El Paso, Texas, to Manuel H. and Francisca D. Ramirez. He enjoyed playing baseball as a teenager and was a pitcher. After graduating from Coronado High School, he went on to become an electrician.
Following in his father’s footsteps early on, he also enjoyed building his homes and helping family, friends and neighbors build their homes too. He was generous with his God-given talents, time and monetary gifts.
What a lot of people recall and have said about Manny was that he had a beautiful smile along with a wonderful and friendly way about him. He loved laughing and had a good sense of humor. If there was music, he was either dancing and/or singing, especially to music by Los Bukis and Mana.
Sadly, we lost him too soon and will be greatly missed by his surviving children and family: Manuel “Manny” Ramirez, III, Alexa Cormell, mother, Francisca (‘Kika”) Ramirez and surviving siblings, Ernesto, Raquel and Cynthia. He is now at peace and at home with his deceased father, Manuel and sisters, Patsy and Irene.
We want to take this time to thank everyone who visited him, called and prayed for him and our family. The love, outreach and compassion shown us has supported us through this difficult time. May God continue to bless you all.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home - West, 5054 Doniphan Drive, El Paso, TX 79932. Following the visitation will be a rosary at 6:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home-West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932.
