Manuel Parra Holguin, 50, of El Paso, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018. He was a Son, Brother, Father, Uncle and Friend to those he loved. He was born to the late Henry Chavez and Micaela Parra Holguin, December 8, 1967, in El Paso, Tx. Manuel graduated from Riverside High School in 1986 and received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2006. He was a high school Special Education teacher and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of his students. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Chavez and Micaela Parra Holguin; and his brother Daniel Holguin. Manuel is survived by his daughters Victoria Iliana and Kristina Marie Holguin; his sister, Gloria (Armando Sr.) Belmonte and his brothers Esteban, Henry (Cathy) and Adolfo (Lupe) Holguin. He was a proud Chapin Huskey Teacher; throughout his career he taught at the Socorro ISD and Ysleta ISD. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 1060 N. Carolina. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018, starting at 9 am at Little Flower Church located at 171 Polo Inn. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Manuel P. Holguin’s life.
