I write this with a very broken heart. My Uncle Manny  was more like a Father to me.  He was kind, giving and funny. He was one of the most hard working persons I ever knew.  He was someone that put everyone else first before himself, but most of all he was the best family man I ever knew. He was a person with a heart of gold.  He was always about his family and always being together as a family.  He was our rock , heart and soul.  I am so thankful for everything he did for me throughout my whole life. He was always there for me in the good times and in the bad. He has made a huge impact in my life.  Part of the man I am today is because of him. I am so grateful and thankful to have had a person like my Uncle in my life. I will truly miss him .  I thank you Uncle Manny for always being so good and loving to myself, Ruby, Julian and Alexa. 
Uncle Manny, I love you more than anything. You will always have a special place in my heart and I will always remember what a wonderful and beautiful person you were.  I will miss you dearly. 

Met uncle Manny through my blood brother.  Charles Alvarez. He was our coach along with Hank for the major road runners. I think I was 10 years old.  Over the years being apart of the Alvarez and Griego family and every 1 associated my family included. He touched many hearts! He was the coolest and kept  it real but also kept u in check! thank you uncle Manny for being a great influence in my life. 🙏

I met Manny a few years back in one of our swim meets. He was always courteous, kind and helpful. It was always nice to talk to him and I will remember him as a good soul.

I say goodbye to a great friend or I should  say until we meet again. They say you should tell people what you feel about them while you still can. I never took the opportunity to let Manny know what a beautiful person he was. He was selfless-thinking about what he could do for the people in his life first.
Manny loved his softball and was the leader of the El Paso Roadrunners. We were like a big family thanks in part to him.
They say surround yourself with good people and I’ll tell you who you are. Having Manny as a friend made me a better person. I am so blessed to have had Manny in my life. Until we meet again, brother. Love you.

Manny was the best! A huge supporter of the swimming community in El Paso. Whenever we were in a bind for quick T-shirt order, Manny would make magic for us.  He even overnighted shirts to us at a meet!  He went above and beyond in everything he did.  I’m so saddened by his passing.  Prayers for his family. Much love to all. LeAnn

My sincerest and deepest condolences to Terri and Manuel Felix on the loss of your husband/father. I was blessed to have met and played with Manny back in the slow-pitch days with the Roadrunners. We had one heck of a team back then. Terri thank you for welcoming my kids and I to the team when I first started playing. My oldest son, Chris, still remembers the Roadies. Manuel Felix, although I’ve never met you just know that your dad was one great human being and was willing to help out anyone in need. You should be proud of your dad for he definitely left his footprint in the slow-pitch softball world here in El Paso. My thoughts and prayers to both of you and the extended family during this most difficult time. God bless you all. RIP Manny….

Manny was a super wonderful person! Always willing to help out in the swimming community!  I can say he was my friend! I will miss you Manny! Your kindness, smile, humor,  and always a nice thing to say 😊!   Rest in peace friend+

Some people come into our lives and leave an indelible mark on our hearts. For me, Manny was just such a person.
He mentored me and countless other ARB board members verbally but mostly through his actions and exceptional ability as a panel chair.
He not only knew his stuff but had a very calming effect on wary taxpayers that were intimidated by the process. He truly helped them understand what was going on. Taxpayers that left  his hearings felt treated fairly, respectfully and courteously. He led mostly by example and watching him chair was an education unto itself.

I last broke bread with Manny, Art Munoz, and longtime buddy "Eddie" in May and we hoped to gather again in Sept. But the Good Lord had different plans and I regret not being able to tell him I loved him again. Besides, it was his turn to buy!

Manny was as fine a man as God ever put on earth, a true gentleman, but most of all a great friend that gave all of us laughter and lots of smiles.

I don't really know where to start...Manny was like a father to me when my dad left El Paso for Dallas and my high school years were growing up at Sports World and with The Roadrunners.  There are too many of you guys to mention but I am grateful and gracious for all of you.  Manny was there for me to help me out with a job, advice ( most good and some I can't mention...) and always looked out for me.  I know how much he loved Terrie and though I left El Paso before Manny was born, I know that Manny and Terrie always dreamed of having a son.  Manny would do anything for anyone and I was one of those lucky one's.  I am saddened that I won't get to see him and thank him in person but know that one day...we will be together again whipping up on the Gold Sox, Kings, Warriors, Jalapenos and anyone else...love you guys, love you Terrie and Manny.  RIP dear friend.

What can I say Manny? Desert Shark Swim Club parents rule! Eastwood Swimming parents rule!

We spent countless hours at most of the swimming pools throughout El Paso, Tucson, & Lubbock. Why? Because we LOVED our kids!

I'm gonna miss your smiling face. Let's face facts: You, Terrie, and Manny, will always be part of my family. When you get to heaven, please put a good word in for me. God Bless the entire Griego family!





I had honor of working with Manny for 8 years on the Appraisal Review Board.  He was very knowledgeable and teaching new board members.  I have the plaque he gave me when I left the board.  Helping teams with sports wear and working the Fan Fiesta for visiting fans. We will miss him but he will be in our hearts for ever. Our prayers are with you and your family. Jimmy Melver

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Manny.  I knew Manny as I served on the Appraisal Review Board with him for two years.  Manny was a mentor to me as a new member.  I will always remember him  as a friend as that is the way he treated all of us.  He will be missed.
