Luis H. De La Cruz passed away surrounded by his family Thursday November 29,2024 at the age of 91. He was raised and lived in El Paso, Texas. He will be joining his wife Beatrice where they were married on April 28,1957 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Predeceased in death by his parents Manuel Sanchez De La Cruz and Fransisca Gonzalez De La Cruz and his brother Hector Manual De La Cruz and sister Antonetta. Luis went to school at Cooley elementary, St. Mary’s Catholic school, then later graduated from Ysleta H.S. where he was named ALL-State in football during his senior year. He was drafted and served his country and was honorably discharged from the arm forces of the United States of America, February 1961. Retired after a successful career with the city of El Paso and owed his own zoning consulting company. “He remembers his days at Ysleta High School as some of the most wonderful years of his life.”
Luis was raised by his loving mother and grandmother Juanita Gonzalez. Luis married the love of his life Beatrice Cervantez and had four children. Deanna A. De La Cruz partner Melissa L. Amezcua, Luis Rene De La Cruz, wife Martha A. De La Cruz, Melinda Kruse De La Cruz, and Richard Luis De La Cruz, wife Christina. Four Grandchildren Valeria A. Esparza, husband Tomas J. Esparza, Matthew R. De La Cruz, wife Michelle De La Cruz, Christian Luis and Julia Louis De La Cruz. His great grandchildren Leila June and Ava Jean Esparza. All his grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him lots of joy.

Visitation will be Tuesday Dec. 10th from 5 -6pm, Rosary will begin at 6pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central 3839 Montana, Funeral Mass will be Wednesday Dec.11th 10am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Parish at 519 Latta St, El Paso, Texas 79905. Funeral procession will follow and final destination is Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906.
